Menu week 2 – 8 April 2018

Good afternoon everyone 😉

I hope your Monday has been kind so far. I’m once again playing a catch-up game so there will be 3 menu blog posts this week.

There’s nothing special to report for this week and simply that I like using leftovers or I cook extra veg for dinner to use the next morning. This just makes my life easier and we don’t mind having some of the same food over again and I always try to keep things nice and simple.

I’m just going to post this here as a reminder for those who are reading my blog for the first time please feel free to scroll through all the past posts, I don’t always just post menus 😉 There’s also a few of my favourite recipe under the “Favourite Recipes” tab. I also share everyday on our Facebook Group, LCHF Fanatics, it’s easy for me to just quickly share a recipe or a meal invention or interesting articles and more over on our group.

Just a few things regarding my menus, I use small dinner plates with a dishing surface the size of a side plate, I hardly ever use normal sized dinner plates. I don’t add drinks to my menu as I just drink water or black coffee (mostly around meal times).


  • Breakfast (10h10) – Leftover Sunday lunch (pork belly, stuffed tomato, cauliflower, green beans).
  • Lunch – Skipped.
  • Dinner (17h00) – Salad with curry brawn.


  • Breakfast (10h00) – Fried cabbage, peppers, mushrooms topped with 2 fried eggs and bacon.
  • Lunch (13h20) – Eggs, tomato, cucumber, mayo.
  • Dinner (17h25) – Roast chicken, roast pumpkin and curried cabbage.


  • Breakfast (08h30) – Leftover curried cabbage, 2 fried eggs, a little leftover pumpkin and bacon.
  • Lunch (14h45) – Leftover cabbage (in a saucer) and biltong.
  • Dinner (17h30) – Mince stuffed roasted butternut.


  • Breakfast (09h15) – Frittata with mushrooms, broccoli and bacon pieces.
  • Lunch – Skipped.
  • Dinner – Skipped.


  • Breakfast (08h00) – Breakfast scramble, 2 eggs, ox tongue, peppers, mushrooms.
  • Lunch – Biltong.
  • Dinner (18h40) – Pork chop, cabbage mash with tomato & onion gravy.


  • Breakfast (10h00) – 2 pumpkin waffles topped with chicken livers and 1 pumpkin waffle topped with cinnamon & erythirol mix.
  • Lunch – Skipped.
  • Dinner (17h25) – Braai/BBQ (beef kebab, Boerewors) roasted Brinjal, pepper, mushrooms and baby marrow.


  • Breakfast (10h10) – Tuna mayo omelette with cheese and salad.
  • Lunch – Skipped.
  • Dinner (18h25) – Cheese burger with mushroom sauce.Week 2-8 April 2018
