Menu week 19 – 25 June 2017

Morning everyone,

How is everyone doing? We are doing good, keeping on the straight and narrow ๐Ÿ˜‰

This cold weather is making me want warm and comforting food the whole time, so soup kicked of the week for us. I used the leftover oxtail from Sunday for our soup with all the lovely broth that went with it.

During the week a friend shared a rather strange recipe โ€œCauliflower chocolate puddingโ€ and she asked whom of us would like to give it a try, so Bianca being the girl that she is jumped at the opportunity. So she made it on Sunday and let me tell you if you serve this pudding to someone without them knowing what the ingredients are theyโ€™ll never guess that itโ€™s cauliflower. Monday:

  • Breakfast – Skipped.
  • Lunch (13h00) โ€“ Kale & cheese omelette, avo and bacon
  • Dinner (17h30) โ€“ Oxtail soup with a coconut bread-in-a-mug.

Tuesday:

  • Breakfast (08h45) โ€“ Avo, scrambled eggs, bacon, fried zucchini & brinjals & peppers.
  • Lunch โ€“ Skipped.
  • Dinner (17h30) โ€“ Fried cabbage and beef mince with tomato sauce.

Wednesday:

  • Breakfast (08h50) โ€“ Quiche with leftover cabbage & mince and avo (only had half a portion in a side plate).
  • Lunch (12h25) โ€“ Other half of breakfast.
  • Dinner (17h20) โ€“ Roast chicken, pumpkin, cauliflower and brusselsprouts.

Thursday:

  • Breakfast (10h25) โ€“ Scrambled eggs, bacon, fried zucchini & mushrooms & tomato with cream cheese.
  • Lunch – Skipped.
  • Dinner (17h30) โ€“ Boerewors, cauliflower salad and sweet potato.

Friday:

  • Breakfast (08h10) โ€“ Ham, mushroom & cheese omelette, avo and fried tomato.
  • Lunch – Skipped.
  • Dinner (17h40) โ€“ Carrots, chilli cabbage and gem squash filled with mince and cheese.

Saturday:

  • Breakfast (08h00) โ€“ Leftover mince and cabbage omelette and fried tomato.
  • Lunch โ€“ Skipped.
  • Dinner (18h15) โ€“ Pumpkin soup.

Sunday:

  • Breakfast (09h40) โ€“ Fried mushrooms, zucchini and brinjals topped with avo, boiled eggs and bacon.
  • Lunch โ€“ Skipped.
  • Dinner (17h00) โ€“ Pork chop, roast pumpkin, curried green beans and carrots.
